ABOUT NAAL - MANGO WOOD - EF MODEL
Naal is a two-headed wooden drum. Heads are held in place by bolts. Naal is placed horizontally while playing and both of its heads are used. It is one of the most popular percussion instruments in India, commonly used in folk music & during marriage celebrations. It is similar to Pakhawaj. The only difference being that it is shorter than Pakhawaj in length. It is considered to be a hybrid instrument for the reason since it has Tabla head with high pitch on one side and low pitch Dholak head on the other.
Naal we are providing here has been crafted from Mango wood. It is bolt-tuned and dark wood in color. Tuning Spanner is also provided for tuning the instrument.
